George J. Atiee M.D. is a native of San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 1985. He completed his internship and residency in Family Practice at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he was selected as chief resident. He returned to San Antonio and served for three years in the US Air Force at Randolph, AFB. He achieved the rank of Major and was assigned as the Chief of the Primary Care Clinic. Following his military experience, he joined a private practice group in San Antonio. He was one of the founding members of one of the largest multi-clinic groups in San Antonio. During this time, he became interested in clinical research and after 17 years of family practice he chose to dedicate himself to clinical research. In February of 2013 he took the position of VP and Medical Director for Worldwide Clinical Trials Early Phase Unit.
